Understanding Your Player's Score
Youth soccer development is a marathon, not a sprint. Our evaluation system uses a rigorous, multi-tiered scoring matrix. Please keep two key factors in mind:
- Scores are Age-Relative: Players are evaluated strictly against the highest possible competitive benchmarks for their specific age group worldwide. A high score means they are tracking exceptionally well against international standards for their birth year.
- This is a Competitive Matrix, Not a School Report Card: In elite sports analytics, a 70+ represents an Advanced, High-Impact Competitive Athlete. A score of 50 represents a perfectly on-track, healthy baseline for a dedicated club travel player.
We use these numbers not to label a child, but to identify precise developmental thresholds — giving our coaching staff a flawless roadmap of exactly what levers to pull next to elevate their game.
Statement of Current Level
Marcus is currently performing at a High School All-State level. His technical ability, particularly his dribbling and first touch, places him above most peers in his age group. He has the ball skills and creativity of a player destined for higher levels of competition.
Statement of Potential
With continued development in his defensive responsibilities, physical strength, and use of his weaker foot, Marcus has the potential to compete at the Academy or collegiate level. His mental acuity and coachability set him apart from others at this stage.
Areas for Development
1. Defensive tracking and pressing - must contribute more when the team is without the ball 2. Physical strength - needs a structured gym program to resist being muscled off the ball 3. Left foot finishing - dedicated finishing sessions focusing on the weaker foot 4. Aerobic endurance - noticeable fatigue in the final period of each half
Areas of Strength
1. 1v1 dribbling - exceptional take-on success rate 2. First touch - consistently creates time and space with quality control 3. Creativity and vision - sees passes others cannot 4. Coachability and character - outstanding teammate and responds immediately to instruction

Focus Areas
Priority is building leg and core strength. Work with strength coach 2x per week. Focus on resistance exercises that translate to holding off challenges on the field.
Dedicated left-foot finishing sessions twice per week. Start from close range and build out. Use both feet equally in all finishing drills.
